Experiences from Career Fest ‘07 Tech Panel

Loading ...The Career Fest ‘07 Tech Panel was held in the McDouglas Auditorium where students were invited to hear from professionals in the technology field about their job responsibilites, career path, and career advice for the aspiring technologists.
There were a total of 4 panelists including myself:
- Jesse Hsia, IT Consultant, Avanade
- Matt Schembari, Video Game Development, The Collective
- Tyler Anderson, Project Manager, LandAmerica
- Briandy Walden, Web Designer/Project Manager, UCI
It is easy to tell from our job titles and the companies we work for that we had a pretty interesting mix. The students not only received career advice from the panel, but were also given an opportunity to network with industry professionals. Many students took advantage of that during the breakout session and asked me specific questions. Kudos to the Career Center for organizing this fun and meaningful event.
