Bren School News- Southern California Computer Vision Meet-Up brings over 80 local researchers to UC Irvine November 5, 2009On October 30, 2009, the Computational Vision group at UC Irvine hosted the second annual Southern California Computer Vision Meetup, a day of talks and discussion on the latest results in computer vision. Topics of discussion ranged from surveillance and automotive safety, to differentiating white blood cells by qualitatively analyzing a single image.
- Majumder, Sajadi receive paper award at IEEE Visualization October 30, 2009A paper entitled, "Markerless View-Independent Registration of Multiple Distorted Projectors on Extruded Surfaces Using an Uncalibrated Camera" by Computer Science professor Aditi Majumder and graduate student Behzad Sajadi has won the runner up in the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Visualization 2009 conference held in Atlantic City this month.

The journal will publish research articles concerning the design, realization, and/or evaluation of interactive systems that exhibit some form of "intelligent" behavior.
